The location.
Disappointing stay: broken bed, no housekeeping, no follow-up We booked a room with two queen beds eight months ago and stayed four nights, breakfast included. The stay fell well short of basic expectations. On our first night in Room 4, we discovered the center brace of one bed was broken and the mattress sagged badly in the middle. We reported it the second morning, expecting a prompt resolution. None was offered. We tried to make do the second night but didn't sleep. One of the two sitting chairs was also broken, so sitting up wasn't an option either. The third night was worse: one of us slept on an antique rollaway bed with exposed springs. Still, we heard nothing from the inn. On the fourth morning, frustrated and exhausted after two nights without real rest, we went into the kitchen looking for someone. A cook told us the innkeeper had suggested a different room the day before, but no one had made any effort to tell us or help. When we returned that evening, we found an unmarked envelope with a key to Room 7. That was the only resolution we received, and it came on our last night. The room was also never serviced. We were left with wet towels and had to find fresh ones ourselves in a closet and on a bench. Our next destination was already booked, or we would have left a day early. The location is lovely, but at this price we expected working beds, daily housekeeping, and basic communication when a problem was reported.
Could be a beautiful location with a complete overhaul.
Location was great !
Needs some serious updating. Bathroom was in poor condition. The bedding was awful. Thankfully it was a one night stay .
A great stay at The Inn at Jackson!
We enjoyed our stay at the inn. I am not a fan of inns generally, but this inn changed my perception of an inn.
A little more uniformity in the parking area.
Excellent location with very friendly staff.
Excellent location for local attractions and leaf peeping. Quite with ample parking. Excellent breakfast.
A little bit dated esp in the room and our bathroom.
Location was good and the town of Jackson is charming
Mattress in our room was too soft and bathroom fixtures need to be upgraded
The inn was beautiful! The bed was comfortable!

Best time to goMay to September
Snowiest January and February (about 20 in a month), when the hot tub shines.
In September: highs around 72°F, lows near 48°F, rain or snow on about 6 days. Pack light clothes, plus a layer for the evenings; a light rain jacket won't hurt.
