This policy explains what personal information Analog Escapes ([LEGAL ENTITY NAME], “we”) collects when you use analogescapes.com, how we use it, and your choices. We collect only what we need to find and book your stay.
Information we collect
When you book
- Name, email address and phone number of the person booking and staying.
- Booking details: property, room, dates, number of guests, price and cancellation terms.
- Payment: your card is entered into our Booking Partner's secure payment form. We don't receive or store your full card number.
When you sign in or save stays
- Your email address, used to send sign-in links, and the stays you save.
Automatically
- Basic technical data our hosting provider records, such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, used for security and to keep the Site running.
- Cookies that are needed for the Site to work (see Cookies below). We don't use advertising cookies. [UPDATE IF ANALYTICS ARE ADDED.]
How we use it
- To make, confirm, manage and cancel your bookings, and to send confirmations and important updates.
- To provide your account, trips and saved stays.
- To respond when you contact us, and to prevent fraud and abuse.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
- With your permission only: to send news and offers. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to provide the service:
- The property you book, so it can host you.
- Our Booking Partner ([BOOKING PARTNER LEGAL NAME]) and its payment processor, which make the reservation and take payment.
- Service providers that run the Site for us: hosting (Vercel), database and sign-in (Supabase) and email delivery ([EMAIL PROVIDER]). They may only use your data to provide their service to us.
- Authorities, when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
Cookies and local storage
- Sign-in cookies, to keep you signed in to My trips.
- A checkout cookie, so only the browser that made a booking can view its payment and confirmation pages.
- Your browser's local storage, to remember hearted stays before you sign in.
How long we keep it
We keep booking records for as long as needed for your stay, customer support, and legal and tax requirements (typically [7] years). Unfinished checkouts are released after an hour and their payment details discarded. You can ask us to delete your account and saved stays at any time.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including California under the CCPA/CPRA, and the EU/UK under the GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict some uses. To make a request, email privacy@analogescapes.com. We'll verify your request and respond within the time the law requires. We won't treat you differently for exercising your rights.
Security
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), restrict access to personal data, and keep payment details with our Booking Partner rather than on our systems. No system is perfectly secure, so please tell us if you notice anything unusual.
Children
The Site is not intended for children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information.
International users
