Ideal Newport stay!

Well-kept and clean

We had a wonderful four days in Newport and this little inn was a real gem.

Great, quiet location away from the hustle of the waterfront but accessible to the cliff walk, mansions and other attractions. Mary was a great host and gave us some fabulous recommendations for food and activities.

The bed was a little soft for our liking.

A warm, elegant, and welcoming B&B with a wonderful atmosphere. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and beautifully prepared and served with great taste. Mary was a very caring, attentive, and accommodating host who made our stay truly enjoyable. Highly recommended!

Charming and Beautiful

This is a wonderful B&B in a lovely neighborhood in Newport. Mary, the proprietor, goes above and beyond in service and hospitality to make you feel at home. The Sun-Lit Suite was delightful to return to each evening. It was very spacious, comfortable, and had charming decor. The garden in the backyard was very relaxing. The trees and flowers on the property are beautiful and have a wonderful aroma. The breakfast each morning was delicious. The B&B is about a mile from the mansions and in another direction, a mile to 'downtown'.

The mattress was on the harder side, and I prefer a soft mattress. But this was just a minor inconvenience and did not deter from my enjoyment.

Relax and refresh away from it all

The location was amazing- off the beaten path but close enough to town and Bellevue. THe best part of the stay was Mary- she is so warm, helpful and accommodating.

Lovely B&B for a weekend getaway

Beautifully decorated, adorable patio, good air conditioning, quiet, nice prepared breakfast, and good location walking distance to center of town. Mary is a wonderful host!

No body wash for shower, small shampoo & conditioner bottles were already opened and partially full appearing to have been reused, pillows were too thin for our preference.

Was in a quiet residential neighborhood, spacious and charming upstairs room ; only 2 rooms for guests on property; breakfast made by host was delicious

Highly recommended b&b in Newport

Exceptionally clean, quiet location away from the busy areas. We were able to walk to Thames St or easily uber anywhere else. Host is super nice and a wonderful cook. We really enjoyed our stay.

Great place to stay and visit while in Rhode Island.

The host was wonderful, very friendly and accommodating. We loved the interior, quiet location and the beautiful garden she has. The breakfast was pretty good too.

The lack of a shower curtain in the top-level Sun-lit Suite, coupled with a very slow-draining tub, made it pretty challenging to take a shower. Mary provided some extra towels to help reduce water splashing outside the tub.

Convinced this is the best B&B to visit the historic parts of Newport.

I felt like I was at home, because this is a nice small operation in the innkeeper's home. Breakfast was varied and filling. I was allowed to changed my selection to eggs vs. French Toast when French Toast was the breakfast - although my spouse loved the French Toast! If you are going to Newport and want to be within walking distance of the Gilded Age Mansions - this is your place. Also puts you walking distance close to the Cliff Walk, Ocean Drive, and the piers with the restaurants and retail.

Only complaint was the Nor'Easter weather - but there was plenty of indoor activity with the house tours.

She owns an old house which she has renovated to become a bed and breakfast. Needs a lot of work

Host Mary was fantastic…so sweet & friendly that we immediately felt at home! Her beautiful garden B&B is in a great neighborhood, very safe & walkable. We were in town for a wedding and Mary gave us advice on things to see & do and everything she recommended was great! Also super yummy breakfast…highly recommend!

Minuses outway the positives. Would not stay here again considering the price.

Very convenient location. Owner was very nice and breakfast was good. Big tub in top bedroom.

Property needs some love. Bathtub takes a couple hours to drain. Mattress needs replacing as do pillows. Very poor lighting in room and no full length mirror. Tiny TV. Peeling wallpaper in bathroom. Mold in bathtub calking around tub. Handrail does not go all the way up the stairs.

It was a great location and our host could not have been more helpful and nice. We will return
