We'll be Back

Perfect. Really. I don't say that about many places. Lakehouse Inn was exactly what we wanted -- a comfortable bed and breakfast on a lake. The grounds are beautiful. There are decks around the first and second floors for sitting, reading, gazing out. Down a short flight of stairs is a grassy setting and a dock to enter the lake. Kayaks and those boards you stand and paddle on are available. As well as life-preservers. Breakfast is served in the dining room or on the patio with gorgeous views of the lake. Coffee, pastries, changing choices of pancakes, waffles, egg dishes, and yogurt with granola or oatmeal. Very clean. Airy. Windows open. Cotton sheets. Completely refurbished from what was -- I guess a rather notorious history. The setting near Lenox and Stockbridge and all the cultural stuff -- Tanglewood, The Mount, Shakespeare and Co, the Norman Rockwell Museum, mountains and hiking, great restaurants.... We'll be back.

Highly recommend The Lakehouse Inn!

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at The Lakehouse Inn! From the moment we arrived, Lori and the entire staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. They made us feel right at home and were so informative about all of the amenities available. There was something for everyone—from relaxing by the lake and paddleboarding to enjoying the fire pit in the evening. And the fabulous breakfast included each morning was the perfect way to start the day. Everything truly was a 10/10! We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely be returning for another visit. Highly recommend The Lakehouse Inn!

Idyllic stay

Every guest is made to feel truly welcome in this beautifully located inn beside the lake. The adult only age limit leads to a calm and peaceful retreat that is also close to all the attractions of the Berkshires. Having stayed once, it would be impossible not to want to return again and again.

Exceptional!!!

On Wed, Aug 26, 2026 . We loved the experience!! The only thing I hate is that I left my anniversary card you guys gave us! What a thoughtful touch. Your team is amazing and very attentive. Loved the wine and cognac and if your brownies were empty often it’s my husband’s fault he loved them. Your inn had everything I love water and fire and fishing which I did. PERFECT!!! Thanks Michael and Norma K

Lakeside getaway

Our 2-night stay lived up to all of our hopes/expectations. The accommodations were clean, welcoming and comfortable. The breakfasts were spot-on delicious, and every member of the staff was warm and helpful. We were pleased to meet Kurt and have some conversations during our stay. It was a wonderful anniversary celebration. Thank you and we look forward to our return!

Lovely summer get away

Had a lovely stay at Lakehouse Inn. Accommodations were comfortable, staff was professional and friendly and breakfast was fantastic. Enjoyed an evening swim and paddleboard. Pretty spot on Laurel Lake

Perfect choice for your stay in the Berkshires

Our recent two night stay at the charming Lakehouse Inn bed and breakfast in Lee, MA was darn near perfect from beginning to end. We arrived a day early in preparation for seeing Brandi Carlile at Tanglewood in Lenox, MA the next evening. Having that bit of extra time allowed us to check in to our well appointed room with a shared deck overlooking the lake, relax at the Inn upon arrival, with our complimentary glass of peach sangria (delicious!) walk the lakefront property and then grab a quick dinner in town, just five minutes down the road. We were back in time for our complimentary taster of cognac, again a comforting added touch. The intention of the owner, Kurt, and his friendly staff is to make your stay a welcoming experience to remember, and they succeeded in our estimation! Arriving a day early for the concert was a great decision because the next morning, after a full breakfast on a patio overlooking the lake, we ventured down to the dock where we took full advantage of the kayaks. Easily launched we took our time exploring Lake Laurel and enjoying the peacefulness of it's wooded edges. Off to the concert late in the afternoon, which was a mere 10 minute drive to the gorgeous grounds of Tanglewood. The Brandi Carlile concert was incredible...such a talented musician, songwriter, and performer...her band, along with Sista Strings, match her energy, skill, and stage presence. One of the best concert experiences I've been a part of! And what a treat to return to Lakehouse, rather than driving two hours home. We enjoyed another tasty breakfast on the patio before our 11:00am check out, offered our fond goodbyes to the owner and staff, assuring them we would definitely return. You have many choices of places to stay for your Berkshire adventures, but put The Lakehouse Inn at the top of your list!

Above and beyond!!!

As a former flight attendant, I've traveled the world and few B&B's comes close to The Lakehouse in Lee, MA. The charm, the grace, the amenities, the staff, the views, the comfortable touches exceed expectations - not a stone unturned in accomplishing zen. We've stayed here 1/2 dozen times and each time it's the same - PERFECTION! We will be returning in 2 months and often beyond. I hesitate to recommend our favorite room, because I'm afraid it'll be continually booked :)

Peaceful Getaway

A quiet, relaxing, peaceful stay by a beautiful lake. The room was comfortable and well appointed with a beautiful bathroom and was super clean. The staff was amazing and very thoughtful! As a person with celiac, I was pleasantly surprised at the ability to eat safely at the inn for breakfast and it was delicious. Complimentary drinks were a nice addition. The staff also went above and beyond to recommend safe places to eat in the area. We had a wonderful time!

Berkshire getaway

Beautifully located above a tree-edged lake, this inn is a favorite of ours. The staff could not be more helpful. Breakfast is invariably delicious and, weather depending, may be served on the patio with a commanding view. There is a dock from which you can swim or kayak.

Nice lake experience

Beautiful clean room overlooking the lake. Hotel used to put cushion containers perpendicular to seats on porches. That was better for privacy the lake was great with free kayaks. Breakfasts were lovely especially the days it was served outside

Beautiful and delightful

This was our second time at the Lakehouse Inn, and we're so very glad we returned! We had a very comfortable room - the breakfasts were wonderful - and every staff member was kind and thoughtful. Of course, the location is a delight. My wife had a great swim, too, and we both enjoyed looking out over the lake in the evenings. Great work, everyone!

A wonderful experience

Wonderfully warm and inviting place to achieve the perfect blend of relaxation and adventure! Swimming, kayaking AND a short drive to all the Berkshire's best offerings...The owners are on a mission to create a community of kindness and beauty, and it shows in their attention to greeting each guest, and providing them with touches such as sangria, wine, brownies and breakfast. Rooms are spotless and updated. What a great value, and a great time

Wonderful July 4 Holiday!!!

Stayed her with my sister over the long July 4, 2026 holiday weekend. Absolutely wonderful place to stay. Greeted with sangria drinks, breakfast each morning on the patio overlooking the lake, kayaking and swimming at the lake. Staff was amazing, kind, accommodating and attentive. Sitting on the porch at night with a cognac and brownie was a nice way to end the night. Very quiet hotel as there are no kids making noise or running around (I have 2 sons, but it is nice to have an adults only place). Our A/C in the room was wonderful considering it was a heat wave. Room and bathroom clean and nicely furnished. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided in the shower. We went to see James Taylor at Tanglewood, Stockbridge, Norman Rockwell Museum, Gilded Age mansions, great restaurants in Lenox, everything was wonderful. Be aware, no elevator here so if you have mobility issues pick a room on the lower floors. You have to bring your bags up and down, but staff will help if needed. Highly recommend this place, worth the money. Would be a great place in the autumn.
