The place was very charming and the koi pond was a delightful plus
We wish we would have had a toaster oven

the chairs and i wish it had a small table and chair for studty and coloring.also.
So calm and beautiful! Clean, well kept, bargain lodging at its best!
Brillient spot for the area!
The location was really good. Takes you away from the hustle, but still a short drive to everything in the area. Host is very good and the atmosphere is relaxing. We will keep them on the list to visit again.
Some of the outside is getting close to be in need of getting fixed up again. The outside does not compare to the inside.
Great stay
Room was great. Very clean. Quiet area with beautiful surroundings.
Bathroom was a little on the small size, but had everything you need
Peaceful, clean location. Everything as described. Would stay again if in the area.
I couldn’t believe what a gem I found by randomly looking at Google Maps!
It was in a quiet residential neighborhood. The main house is NOT where the suites are, but instead they are in a separate cottage on the property. The room we stayed in was a studio apartment above the garage. It was like a dream! There was a little kitchen area and a separate seating area. The bed was deliciously comfortable! The room decor was quaint. Both my husband and I looked around and thought “we could easily live here for the summer and have everything we need!” The one thing I want to mention is that the bathroom is tiny! It’s got a nice shower and everything is working perfectly and functional and there are plenty of linens…even make up removing cloths! But, it IS very small. This would not make it or break it for our stay. I just want to mention it. The coy pond is an absolute delight! You are encouraged to feed the fish and the simple entertainment was supremely enjoyable. The hot tub is also very relaxing. It’s on the deck to the main house. They also have a fire pit, but we didn’t use it. It was very hot and muggy when we were there. We will absolutely go again!
In all honesty there wasn’t anything I would say I didn’t like, but will mention it for the benefit of others. The stairs up to the apartment are steep and narrow! There are stairs all through out the property leading to the cottage and those stairs go up and down to the corresponding apartments. It’s actually very charming, but those with mobility issues may find it hard to navigate. The property is in a QUIET residential neighborhood, but like most neighborhoods, the homes are close together and the streets are narrow. The people are very friendly and will wave to you if you wave to them. (Midwest nice is real!) So, if you are envisioning a secluded place in the woods with no neighbors around, this isn’t it. If you are looking for charming, quaint, quiet and serene, this is ABSOLUTELY the place!
Randy was very friendly and gave good recommendations for local places to eat. Everything was clean, plenty of outlets to charge technolgy, beautiful yard.
All was good
Randy was extremely helpful providing tips on local restaurants and activities. Nice setting and comfortable bed.
Everything was great.
We would definitely stay here again. Great value and quality room.
Clean accomodations. Comfortable bed, soft towels, fantastic shower head, mini-fridge & microwave, huge flat screen TV with Dish. Private patio overlooking a quiet, park-like setting with and abundance of landscaping, flowers, and even hummingbirds. Friendly and helpful owner.
Great
Unit was very comfortable
The bathroom sink could have been bigger
Great host and knowledgeable and nice people
Location and room comfort
It was a great couple days. plenty to go see in the area.
My wife thought the whole place was cute. It was all around good place to visit. So close to Pikes Peak state park, Effigy Mounds National Monument, what's left of Fort Crawford, and small museums.
The shower is a bit on the small side. There is train noise. The whole town and area are smashed between the Mississippi River and the bluffs. So the town, trains, and highway are all very close to each other.
Very beautiful location, very clean and quiet. We enjoyed to stay here.
Great place to get away for a few days.
Loved the seclusion and privacy. The property is well kept, comfortable, and very homey. The opportunity for the hot tub and fire pit was appreciated. Made us feel like we were at home.
On our 15 day national park trip it was head and shoulders above all other properties we stayed in.
An absolute gem. The owner, Randy, has done a spectacular job renovating the rooms and managing the grounds. The room we had was spectacular with every amenity you could want. Our only wish was that we had more time to stay longer.
There was nothing we did not like…..
