We had such a relaxing and peaceful stay.
The house was beautiful and well-maintained. The room was wonderful. Our bed was very comfortable and the massage shower was heavenly. The coffee machine and all the goodies in the coffee house/sitting room was fabulous, and the mid-afternoon wine and snacks was very tasty.
Relax, renew, explore.
The owners have thought of everything and more to ensure guests feel welcome, comfortable, and pampered. Whether sleeping, eating or relaxing inside or out, there were comfy spots, tubs for soaking, treats, beverages, things to do and the lure to just do nothing. It was perfect for our rest and relax getaway, with a little local exploring.
Having to go home
Enjoyed our stay immensely, wish it was longer, so I can enjoy the jetted bathtub every day!
The breakfast was good, I love the grits and the biscuits jam. The location was good. We got a chance to walk into town and see different things. It made a nice getaway weekend days for us. Thank you for your kindness.
Everything was good, didn’t really see anything that needed to be changed or done better. But I really enjoyed your chocolate chip cookies. They were so good. I wish we had them in our room complementary. But everything else was beautiful. I didn’t wanna leave.

Fabulous hospitality! Relaxing, welcoming environment. The owner ( trained chef) offered delicious 5 star meals. The owners have thought of everything needed to enjoy a relaxing vacation .
At check-in, I was told that our bed Lenin would be charged every day. When in fact, our bed sheets weren’t changed at

The happy hour and ice cream sandwiches were a nice touch. If it wasn't so hot, it would have been enjoyable to rock on the porch or sit in the yard. The bath was nice though we didn't take advantage of the spa tub. No directions around as to how to use. It was short walk to the tourist downtown of Manteo so that was enjoyable. The furniture and the decoration was lovely and well organized. The breakfast was delicious.
The stairs up to our room would be illegal in Massachusetts. They were not safe and not manageable for bringing up our luggage. We ended up just bringing up the necessary things which meant we needed to open the luggage in the car to sort. Guests should be warned ahead of time about this as we are 68 and 77 and it was a manageable but not comfortable situation for us. The air, though nice and cool for a hot day, was blowing on our heads all night so not very comfortable. Not sure if we did anything wrong but the owners skipped offering us juice in the morning at breakfast or even saying hello while they seemed to have friendly banter with the other guests...maybe they were not first time visitors? Hard to say that it encouraged us to want to visit again. We do visit the area every year, so it's a shame, but at our age maybe they were thinking we didn't have much longer to go ; ). I also wouldn't recommend to friends or family if that's a goal. We paid $320 which is about range for the area on a Friday mid summer but it certainly wasn't a bargain so no reason there.for a slight. Parking was on the street, I wouldn't call that "provided" though it turned out to be OK as we got the closest spot by luck.

The B&B is very charming & staff is very welcoming and kind; however, when I woke up in the morning, there was an ant infestation, and they also got into our bed, and clothing. When I reported it to the management, there were no apologies - only “ thank you so much for letting us know. We've been battling the ants with all this rain. We'll get it taken care of.” When paying a decent price for a night, it would have been nice to minimally receive an apology.
There are not enough good things to say about the attention to detail, delicious food and high end coffee bar experience
The room was lovely and felt like a pampering sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of the world. A true “spa like” feel/ experience! The property is beautiful, serene and many lovely plants and art work to enjoy!
This truly is a a very special get-away property! If you are looking for the usual pool//hot tub experience… look elsewhere. If you would enjoy a pampering experience in a truly lovely unique one of a kind accommodation, you have found it!

Great place to stay for a concert or shopping trip
We had a fabulous stay! Check in was quick and easy. There are always homemade goodies, wine and cheese trays out and available. Very comfortable lobby/living room set up. Our rooms were comfortable and quiet. We stayed for a concert and there isn't much parking space at the inn but it isn't a super busy street to find something close by. Loved interacting with the staff and other guests. The breakfast was amazing!

A lovely old house, beautifully maintained, run by excellent dedicated owners and employees. One of the best experiences in B&Bs we've had. Would love to stay there again. Breakfasts were excellent, room great, location perfect. Couldn't be better!
