The breakfasts were very good & enjoyed the different recipes. The amenities were many & very thoughtful. We totally enjoyed our stay & would be very open to going back.
Nothing, I was happy with the entire experience.
Liked the outdoor seating. My husband liked the baked blueberry french toast. Owner treats his wife like a queen. Bathroom was clean. Bed was comfortable. White noise machine appreciated.
Outdated...dirty worn carpet, teddy bear on the bed. I'm not a fan of such sweetness for breakfast. I had no food allergies to request eggs or an alternative. Sausage was good.
Nice!
It was a welcoming, beautiful, peaceful… just what we were looking for. Gary & Sandra we’re wonderful hosts!
Cozy and quiet!
We've stayed at hundreds of hotels and B&Bs on our road trips to 48 States. This is one of the nicer ones! I had booked a smaller room inside the house, but when we showed up, Gary put us in the Sanctuary room, which is off to the side and quiet. There is a nice partial view of the lake. Room is technically for handicapped people, but anyone can use it. There is a really nice jetted bathtub that was great to have after our long bike rides. Dual controlled heated mattress pad. 2 comfy leather "massage" chairs (they really just vibrate but they were nice to sit in and read). Room was very clean and bright. Breakfasts were all very good. One of the reasons we really enjoy B&Bs is getting to meet and talk to people from all over the world. Unfortunately for us, there were only two other couples there on our first night/morning, and they were both also from MN! Since we were alone for the second and third night, it was quiet. Gary and Sandra still joined us for breakfast so that was nice. Coffee was excellent! You can also have a free glass of box wine each evening, I only had one. There are lots of DVDs. Tons of cable channels as well as Netflix and other streaming. Many games available and a pool table! My husband really wanted to swim but you can't do that here. There are tons of geese and ducks right along the shore and the water is full of weeds and muck. We were also planning on taking the double kayak out but it was full of bird poop the whole time we were there. The hammock was super nice, as were the red Adirondack chairs on the floating dock. There are tons of places to sit in the backyard but many of them were full of spider webs and bugs. We also found multiple spiders and bugs in our room. Guess that's part of having a place on the Bay. We never received new towels but I'm sure I could have asked. Overall, this is a very cozy place with great hosts, Gary was super helpful with bike trail info. I bet it would be lovely in the winter! We really appreciate the room upgrade and hospitality.
Best Bed & Breakfast Around
We stayed here about 10 years ago and it was great. Came back this week and it was just as amazing as it had been all those years ago! The accommodations, the food, the atmosphere and the hospitality were all great. The blueberry cream cheese French was so tasty. This is the most relaxing place a person could stay. They have so many spots to relax, read a book, do a puzzle, go in the canoe or kayak-and so much of this is included in the stay. Thanks again for a wonderful, relaxing weekend!
It's Shangri la!!!
Outstanding b&b!!! Can't say enough. Our host was gracious and kind with some great stories to tell. A Navy man like me, we both served on aircraft carriers. The breakfast itself was a sit down affair with all the other guests. Great food in an warm family environment. We just can't say enough about the facility andi.ambience.. Five star +.
This place is the whole package.. A complaint would be a sin.
