So beautiful. Well kept, clean and inviting
Great place!
Location and facilities were so comfortable and felt homey.
Towels could have been a bit larger.
Good stay!
Love the upgrades!!
Hot tub needed to be cleaned.
It is the perfect place to enjoy Spearfish Canyon.
The property is the middle of the canyon which makes it easy to travel to Spearfish and Deadwood/Lead. There are plenty of trails to hike connected to near by the property. The lodge had all the amenities except its own restaurant. However, there is a restaurant across the street. We loved the common area with comfortable chairs, cathedral ceiling, fireplace, etc. It was a lovely space to relax. We would return for sure. The canyon area is gorgeous.
There is only one restaurant nearby (across the street) which can be overrun by people connected to travel buses. The prices were also high. However, we adapted by bringing in some snacks and breakfast items when visiting nearby downs.
View from our room was amazing!! Enjoyed several hiking trails. Hot tub was clean and had a great view and liked the robes that were in the room.
Overall I would stay there again if you visit this area again.
I liked the scenery and all the trails to hike in the black hills nearby. The main lodge was beautiful and all the staff was friendly and helpful.
Booking.com overbooked them so we got put on the Creekside apartments would’ve of really preferred the lodge but wasn’t there fault but they did accommodate us. The lighting over by the apartment is not very good you need bring a flashlight or the light on your phone it is dark over there at night.
